Ken Mills Toyota Hail Damage Campaign

When a serious hail storm blanketed Maroochydore with cricket ball-sized hailstones, many local car dealers ended up with damaged vehicles. Longstanding Advanti client Ken Mills Toyota briefed us to provide a campaign to shift hundreds of damaged vehicles.

Knowing that other local car dealers would also be running heavy retail advertising using a Hail Sale theme, Advanti created a different approach to make Ken Mills Toyota’s advertising stand out against the competition.

We created the Hail Fairy, a nasty and rather ugly gentleman in a tutu with a wand, who had damaged the Ken Mills Toyota vehicles. Within 24 hours, a poster was created, press advertising designed, an email campaign created and 3 x 60” radio commercials produced, along with mirror-hangers to dangle off the rear vision mirrors of the damaged stock.

The campaign received excellent feedback, with Ken Mills Toyota selling their hail-damaged stock in a three week period.
